Craig Cameron graduated with first class honours and the Coombes Honours Scholarship, from the Australian National University in 2000. Since 2004 he has exhibited prolifically in Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney and on the NSW South Coast. In 2008 he was winner of First Prize in the Bega Valley Regional Gallery Art Awards and a finalist in 2012 & 2013. In 2008 and 2010 Craig was selected as a finalist in the Far South Coast Living Artist Program. Craig has received numerous excellent reviews and is one of the most sought after artists at Ivy Hill gallery at Wapengo on the NSW South Coast.

Craig’s recent work questions the boundaries of painting through his use of found refrigerator panels; reworked with an angle grinder, paint and gap filler and has been described as resembling “shadows on a gothic wall”. Craig's past work often involved layer upon layer over the base material, sometimes perspex, canvas, masonite, sheet steel, creating images that are urban and three-dimensional.

Craig currently lives and works near the NSW South Coast village of Candelo.
